REV.DR.HENRY
L.MASTERS,SR.
|
"I am
in my thirty sixth year of ministry. I have served in a variety
of appointments: community organizer, pastor, district superintendent
and adjunct seminary faculty. I have served in three conferences,
two in Texas before coming to California Pacific, and a conference
delegate twice. I have enjoyed a broad range of experiences.
My most passionate interest and concern is discipleship and church growth.
While I am concerned about and involved in “social justice” issues,
many of the indicators and recommendations for a viable UMC future points
to our need for growth-spiritual, numerical and financial, without which
many of our great ideas and plans will remain just that. While these are
not the only significant issues, they are pressing ones that must be addressed
at the general and jurisdiction levels of our church." |
